Travel Photo: Chinese Cemetery in Aberdeen, Hong Kong

The Chinese Permanent Cemetery lies in the hills above Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Aberdeen is a small town on the south side of Hong Kong Island. To reach Aberdeen, take a bus from Exchange Square in Central District or walk down from Victoria Peak.

The Chinese Permanent Cemetery is behind Tin Hau Temple. The terraced hill sides are packed with gravestones overlooking the South China Sea. Being buried on a hillside and overlooking the water is the most auspicious resting place in Chinese culture
